Summary
RATING: Not Rated
Starring Jonas Ball, Matt Anderson, Jon Huertas, Michael C. Williams, Sam Hunger, and Jeff Prewett
The next nightmare from Daniel Myrick, creator of THE BLAIR WITCH PROJECT: CIA Agent Benjamin Keynes, three days after 9/11 reconnaissance satellites picked up a radioactive heat signature in a remote, travels to a tribal region of Afghanistan. The Agency fears that Al-Qaida has finally gotten their hands on a nuclear weapon. However, it seems that this threat may be coming from something much more powerful, and definitely not human. (IFC)

The Hollywood Reporter Frank Scheck
This war-horror movie basically plays like "Blair Witch" in Afghanistan.

The scenes of servicemen feel somehow false, a screenwriter's idea of military life rather than the real thing. Myrick does an admirable job of spinning tension from a group of guys mostly standing around, but too often the film's portentous tone seems more silly than suspenseful.
Read Full Review >Variety Alissa Simon
With a low-budget look, cliched dialogue, a stale plot and so-so acting, this supernatural thriller is unlikely to achieve the phenomenal success of its fabled predecessor.
Read Full Review >LA Weekly Luke Y. Thompson
It plays like a disastrous Sci-Fi Channel castoff, thanks in no small part to Myrick's odd decision to include incessant voice-over narration by Ball, which plays like a really terrible in-character DVD commentary track.

Kevin G. gave it a7:
Didn't know what to expect from this movie, but was pleasantly surprised. A good B movie.
John G. gave it a10:
A fine, well thought out, well acted gem. Absolutely the kind of movie that when you are watching you don't really want to end. Unlike most of the junk that gets produced today, this movie has value not only in breaking new ground for sci fi, but in the quality of the acting and story telling.
Jay H. gave it a6:
I like the fact it has some imagination. It held my interest, although it doesn't always work. It has suspense, a good atmosphere but too often the dialog is awkward. Nice effort.
Nomaan S. gave it a7:
i hv read the critic's review here and do not agree with em. I hv seen the Movie 4 times already and really liked it and and think Daniel Myrick did a good job. Watch the movie !!
