Seems less like a sequel and more like an extension of the first game, with a few nice enhancements and some more dark and dangerous environments (like the underbelly of a speeding train.) [19 Mar 2004, p.L2T 14]

The single-player mode is robust and challenging, and the multiplayer mode is nigh groundbreaking. Once the multiplayer servers are populated, a whole lot of social lives are going to be ruined.

On a technical level, I believe the game may be entirely without flaw. On top of that Ubi Soft has introduced us to a whole new breed of online gaming that did not exist before Splinter Cell: Pandora Tomorrow hit the shelves. Their ability to pull that off has solidified them as the developer of the year and has made Splinter Cell an instant, must own classic.

I can not get through to some people how addicting this game is on Live. 2 vs. 2 on Live might not sound like the normal run-and-gun FPS’ everyone is accustomed to, but that’s what makes it what it is – a true stealth multiplayer, something no game has been able to pull off in this manner.

Alec B. gave it a10:
I own every Splintercell game that is out and this one is my favorite one. All of the Splintercell games are mind addicting and I cant wait to get Double Agent for the PS3.

Steve P. gave it a10:
This is the greatest stealth game ever; they took all the bad things about Splinter Cell 1 (no rag doll physics, bad AI, no Close Quarters Combat) and fixed them. The graphics are amazing, some of the best on the Xbox. The enemies finally have some brains, and have real sounding conversation. One awesome things is the ability to us alternate roots to get some where, in every room there is almost always a secrete air ducked, or something like that that will bring you to your goal faster. But without a doubt my favorite thing is the knife. In Splinter Cell one it was impossible to take someone down close to them innless you were able to grab them. But now you can gut them like a fish or give them a little air buy opening there necks. What you’re a pacifist, oh well then there is a new Kung Fu element that allows you to knock out the adversaries ninja style. This game is a must have.

Girly girl gave it a10:
I love this game, it is sooooo fun!

Sam F. gave it a 10:
Greatest game ever created. Worth every single penny.Sam is the coolest possible character ever put in a video game. Absolutely love it. If you liked the first one, you'll love this one. My advice, sell whatever you have to sell to get this game.

Red E. gave it an 8:
Hella good game, but the multiplayer needs some patches and work.

Uter gave it an 8:
It's not as perfect as most reviews would have you believe. It's a shame there's no offline multiplayer here. But the single player game is improved over the 1st game. the tutorial in particular feels much more natuaral (you're actually in a mission when learning the controls rather than some sim while moving from ugly room to ugly room). All in all it's worth checking out, but if you're not on xbox live, there's not much replay value.

Mitch B. gave it an 8:
Pandora Tommorrow:I never in my wildest dreams realised whistling could make such an effective tool for a highly trained secret operative of NSA's Third Echelon. I whistle in every room I walk into, I pretty much never need to use lethal force or even access my inventory cause whistling is such a powerful ability to have. I just wish there were more styles of whistling cause quite frankly I was getting annoyed with having just 2 styles of whistles (and so were my housemates just quietly). I hope for God's sake they rectify that glaring problem in Splinter Cell 3.
