Team Xbox
EA Bright Light did about as good a job as a team can do when working with the classic games of many of our childhoods. It’s a delicate job, but HFGN pulls off classic-board gaming with aplomb, while at the same time adding more video game-centric modes to each title.

Yahtzee makes a smooth transition into the virtual world. Because you don't have to do your own calculations the gameplay is faster paced.

The interface is solid, rolling the dice is fun, and there are no papers or pencils to deal with. So leave the dice in the drawer and fire this one up on your TV instead.

Despite a few flaws and one ill-conceived megamix, these games are treated with the respect they deserve at a price we’re willing to pay. We’re happy to see them on Arcade where they belong.

A good family game for rainy days. It is especially good for families with younger kids who wouldn't do well with family games like Scene It.

The biggest question on everyone's mind is truly is this worth picking up for ten bucks when you can certainly grab it at just about any store for roughly the same price, or for that matter even make your own. The answer depends on your preferences, personally having the game keep score while providing Achievements and a visual delight were certainly worth my investment.

A sharp iteration of an old favourite; Yahtzee is a videogame adaptation of the utmost fidelity and benefits from the indelible charisma of Mr Potato Head.

Even more so than the other Hasbro Family Game Night titles, this is really for fans, and should please anyone who considers Yahtzee to be fun.

If you’ve played the real thing, you’ve all but played Hasbro Family Game Night’s version. Aside from a few differing modes and an online portion it is an extremely authentic replication of the game many of us have played at some point in our lives.

This is a great port of a simple game. This is best d/l'ed by people w/ friends on live, or someone who wants something to play for 20 minutes without worrying about checkpoints. Please ignore idiots like the guy above me droning on about "real friends" and dignity. He lost that when he wrote that post. He fails to consider that many of us have "real" friends that live out of state, and there's not too many "n" work spewing 12 year olds playing scrabble and yahtzee out there. Well worth the price if you enjoy simple time-waster games like solitare and minesweeper. Not for those you want a full gaming experience.
Fred B gave it a7:
A well done video game adaptation of a classic; Yahtzee is one of those "one more time" games. with different modes, multiplayer on/ off line, and leader boards for high scores, it can be difficult to put the controllers down. The only issue that I had with the game is that you often chose the wrong category after you roll the dice and there is no way to go back once you "accidentally" chose "4 of a kind" instead of Yahtzee- Bummer... maybe they could do an update where they replace the highlighted line with a big pencil next to the category you choose. fake dice, fake pencil, what's the difference?
Darryl S gave it a2:
Opinions of value aside, online play is presently broken. It is difficult if not impossible to play Scrabble to Yahtzee to completion before a mysterious EA-based server error brings the fun to an abrupt end, Unless you have seen a news story saying this has been fixed, I implore you to wait to purchase this game to avoid potential loss of points and/or sanity. It's a pity such great games were hindered by an unfortunate networking problem.
Aaron S gave it a2:
Absolutely terrible idea. 10 bucks for connect 4? 10 bucks more if I want both game modes? Then, if I want both modes of Battleship it costs another 20. Scrabble might have been worth the 10 dollars if it didn't mean downloading the Mr. Potato head interface. As much as I would love to play Scrabble on Xbox Live, I refuse to support this bald-faced ripoff.
Dejuan B gave it a0:
I love the fact that I can sit in my basement and play what use to be classic board games with trash talking, *n* word spewing 12 year old children on Xbox live! Instead of having some what of a social life, video games have encompassed every aspect of it and sucked out all the fun and induced physical and emotional pain. I would much rather play with strangers over live that have the mentality of a retarded monkey fish then with my own family and real-life friends! Thank you Hasbro for ruining everything that was a viable form of entertainment outside of video games. Thank you for being greedy and making me pay money every month to play with somebody over live instead of with actual people in REAL LIFE. I am not going to go that low and buy your game, I still have some dignity left inside me. I am never buying another product from Hasbro, I am in utter disgust at what I see right now. How big of a looser and loner do you have to be to play board games electronically instead of physically with the board and dice and pieces with real people?
