Summary

If you think you knew what it felt like to be the bounty hunter behind the visor, think again. Take aim at evil with Nintendo's revolutionary controller. Players control Samus by moving with the Nunchuk controller and aiming with the pointer, allowing for a level of immersion unlike anything they have ever experienced. Through the eyes of Samus, players experience a quantum leap in first-person control as they wield the Wii Remote, the ultimate device for the first-person shooter genre. Samus employs well-known power-ups like the Grapple Beam and Morph Ball, as well as a bunch of new surprises, to help her survive her coming trials. Saving the planets from Corruption isn't enough, though. Eventually, players must take down Samus' mortal enemy, Dark Samus. [Nintendo]

The campaign in itself offers a good deal of play time, but in a flash of brilliance, the developers also added unlockables, which can only be purchased by completing certain goals in the game (scanning objects, etc) and getting currency. These range from simple art books, to playback options for the game’s epic musical score, or even cool little novelties like bumper stickers for Samus’ ship (which I’m still working up to try and purchase).

The game controls are great, the boss battles are a lot of fun. But the game for the most part is very boring, little fighting mostly puzzle solving which is really boring to me, i haven't played any of the previous games atleast that i remember. I was just expecting more action in the game.

This game is one of the few FPS's for Wii, I think they should make more FPS's for Wii. It is so realistic, you hold the wii remote and you point at the screen, do you can shoot, brilliant! The story is good aswell, so as graphics, but mainly the gameplay. You should try it with Wii Zapper and/or wiii remote, altough Wii Zapper was especially made for this.

This was a great game, with excellent controls, but the difficulty of long play sessions due to the arm pain involved in aimining to shoot just makes the game alot more tedious and ulitmately detracts from the experince. Sorry, Retro, but the original Prime was the best in the series.

Sorry this is a "good" game at best i dont personally find the controls to be that great and doors that sometimes take 10 seconds to load and the fact that it only looks marginally better than the first prime were all disappointments to me. That said i'm stilling playing through ti and enjoying it despite aggrivations and because i like metroid as a series i will finish it but lets be honest this is no 9.0 or even 8 imo nintendo needs to make a fuller more fleshed out 2D version than the gameboy has been seeing and call it a day.

Metroid Prime 3 is easily the most beautiful game out yet for the Wii. The controlles take full advantage of the Wii's injinuity and the overall control is perfect. The new features that faltered MP2's experiance have been thrown out of MP3 and even ones that weren't taken out were improved on greatly. The few downsides I saw in the game was that you only have one beam type that upgrades as you progress (2D Metroid style anyone?) and a few times there would be a few quite tough moments. Aside from the two this had the most interesting storyline yet in the Prime series. Like Metroid Prime first came out this is a must buy for the Wii.

This is the most natural feeling game i have played on the nintendo. Others seem too detached and blocky, where this responds to your every need. The scanning system eases some of the level difficulty and the shooting system allows an accurate yet fast weapon. The ship interface is brilliant but could do with a little bit more reality added. The one flaw with with this game i think is the staged boss battles, which are easily done with the scanner. i'm not going to tell you how much i like this game because you can guess from the fact that i could play it quite easily for 6 hours straight!

The game was very original, for a Metroid game, but the issue is is that the game was just to easy and short. It can be beaten in 15 hours. Also several features seemed useless. Like the curruption mode, it was good but most of the abilities were useless(such as the curruption grapple you only use once). And the ships missles, pointless. They were on the right track on this, especiall with voice acting, but they just need to make it longer and more unique.
