Sam gave it a10: Despite its TV background, Flight 93 is more powerful than most theatrical films out now. I've never cried so hard, never been fascinated in such an enormous way, and never been so frightinengly inspired watching a movie.
Jay W gave it a10: Different, and maybe better, than the film United 93 as it spends more time on passenger conversations with family and actions on the other planes. Suggesting that this didn't really happen (or that its just speculation) is simply an ingorant statement. There are lots of crew and family members who will confirm the conversations that are the basis of this movie. There is little doubt that these heros on Flight 93 saved lives by making the ultimate sacrifice - giving their own. This message is delivered with power and impact through this show. Highly recommended.
[Anonymous] gave it a10: very, very good
Suzanne M gave it a0: Film was based purely on speculation. No one really knows what happened!
Wes P gave it a10: An tragedy which should be recounted over and over again. This is heart-wrenching and sad to watch. Anyone who says we don't need to be reminded over and over again is dead wrong! The reasons the U.S. was attacked still exist today. We need to be reminded that we are still not clear from danger.
Louise K gave it a10: Respectfuly done and an absolutely powerful film. My partner and myself were reduced to tears. God bless all the family and friends of all those courageous people who tragically lost their lives on flight 93. GOD BLESS AMERICAX
Corey W gave it a10: Flight 93 is a strong film about the darkest day in America. I disagree with the critics of films like these because they show the resolve of these American heroes. Its been said before that the field in PA is the site of the first victory in the War on Terror, and we should honor that always.
Bob gave it a10: A great, yet sad movie that will wake people up to remember how brave those citizens were
Michael C gave it a10: This show was a perfect example of how to remember the heroes and victims of the hijacking of the four planes on September 11. We remember the heroes on the ground and the victims in the buildings but we fail to remember the person who’s live were taking away from them and their planes were used as weapons against our way of life. I solute the makers of the TV show and to those families who lost so much on that horrific day.
billy b gave it an8: an extremely gripping movie, although i'm taking one off because of the unbelievable tackiness of the whole lord's prayer thing and verizon. o yea, and that lady that was crying that looked like she was laughing. 2 pts off for that. Otherwise it was a dramatic hypothesis of what actually happened. For all we know, it was pretty accurate. If you don't want to go to the movies, this is just as good.
David A gave it a10: Please review this movie on it's merits, and not on your opinion of whether or not it should have been made. Flight 93 is incredibly emotional, and extremely well made. It conveys the true horror of the situation, and should remind all Americans what we are up against in the true war on terrorism.
Jen S gave it a0: I think it is horrible that you find entertainment in many others heartache! It takes a mindless and heartless idiot to actually want to show this on national television. Do you not think that victims of these family have suffered enough day in and day out? What about the people that were working and supporting our country that day whose lives where in danger as well? No one thinks of the consequences that this can have on people. Please let us have our happy memories! This would be awful to put on television and I hope that A&E loses viewers due to this broadcast! Let us remember the heroes without seeing it on TV! We do not have to see how they suffered!
Rose K gave it a10: Those who have not yet seen this film should seriously re-consider seeing it and, should they choose not to view it, should refrain from posting their opinions on a review website. This film was extremely well-done and very respectful of the events that took place. Movies, books, documentaries, etc. are a form of story-telling that allow us to not forget the incredible sacrifices of the passengers and their families. I, for one, was proud to watch this film and am thrilled that there is one of such caliber that will save this information for generations to come. Bravo Universal and A&E. Bravo.
Anne O gave it a0: I just saw the shots of this film on Larry King Live. I thought it unnecessarily relives the trauma faced by families of the affected. Also, it is disrespectful for the demised. I agree ith Christopher Q and Eugenio L.
Barb S. gave it a10: Dramatizations of real-life events, when done right, often move us in ways that news reports and documentaries may not. This movie was done right ... with respect and (as Randy L.'s comment here says) "extreme dignity". The cast was excellent and totally believable, led by Jeffrey Nordling as Tom Burnett.
Christopher Q gave it a0: I usually chastise people for giving 0's without seeing something - but this should not have been made - We don’t need a dramatization and a complete fantasy of what happened on that plane - We don't know. Its disrespectful to everyone on that plane.
Eugenio L gave it a0: Flight 93 was a trainwreck, excuse the brutal irony, but let's face it, pandering to our over taxed emotional connection to 9/11 is neither dignified, nor groud breaking, as A&E would have it. Forget the subject matter, it's offensive that "film making" even the made-for-TV kind as gotten so sloppy. Poorly cast, atrociously acted and feebly written, this movie is truly an assault on all senses. It is NOT a tribute to anything, because it in no way accurately represents true events, rather, it relies on a glorified retelling of hypothetical events (referring at least to what happened in the plane). What's even more nauseating, was Verizon's connection to the film. Am I the only one offended by the lords prayer offered up by that heroic Verizon employee (how cushy and cheap to use religion in a marketing ploy, especially to a country so exhaustingly wrapped up in the New Testament). At least Verizon knows it's customers.
Robin F gave it a10: A story that we all (think we) know could have been a predictable and irrelevant bore, but instead it is a suspenseful, horrifying and ultimately human drama/thriller directed and acted to perfection, produced well, with one of the best final reels ever. It is one of the best TV movies ever made.
Randy L gave it a10: This is a very powerful and moving film. If you don't see this film you are making a profound mistake. This is a part of history...potrayed exactly how it should be. With extreme dignity.
Jim M gave it a10: I had read hundreds of accounts of 911. I have seen several documentaries and news specials. None affected me to the degree this production did. It was a well done dramatization of a horrible event. God bless us all.
heathr s gave it a0: Had this film come out directly after the pearl harbor bombings-folks back then ould have been outraged. What a numb society we must live in for this movie to even have been produced-I had to shut it off after 20 minutes. I clenched my fists, and cried. What lesson am I to learn from that? I did that the day of 9/11, and for weeks after and if I think about it now, I am overcome by sadness and emotion, so watching graphic, painted displays is supposed to make me feel what? worse? wonderful-get it off the air- I am disgusted and feel horrible for those families of the victims. God bless them, and hope they do not have to relieve their worst nightmares at the expense of "etertainment"
Mike M gave it an8: A worthy tribute to the volunteer infantry of Flight 93. I found myself reliving 9/11 on an emotional level, which says something for the effectiveness of the film.
