This is the best American TV show ever. Many have compared it to Buffy (which I loved dearly), but Veronica has a lot more direction and the dialog is just as witty. Mars has made mysteries my favorite genre.

This show is pretty much flawless. It's a shame that it doesn't get the attention it deserves...everyone I've convinced to watch it has gotten hooked and tried to spread the word to their friends. It's a must-see if there ever was one...great plots, great actors, great characters, great scripts. It's pretty much flawless.

If I had voted on Seasons 1 or 2, I would have given VM a 10, easily. But since the 3rd season began, it's struggled to maintain the same level of sophistication, intelligence and humor. This season is the the worst, and I've gone from a raving fan to indifferent and will probably not continue.

Best. Show. Ever. Witty diaglogue, engaging storyline, dramatic suspense, believably smart characters, fresh cinematography, some of the most intelligent writing and best acting on TV, and a catchy soundtrack. Veronica!

Early on veronica mars seemed to trigger thought where though is rarely needed a teen show that is really so much more witty, engaging and surely part of only a few shows from the ( wb and UPN ) spectrum... season 1 offers great writing, and exellent dialouge a def. watch.

I don't really have time to watch TV anymore, but I always make time for Ronnie. I haven't watched a show in a long time that is as consistently fantastic as this one. "Veronica Mars is smarter than me." Oh stop it. Let's just hope the 3rd season finally gets the attention it deserves. October 3rd is a painfully long time from now.

Veronica Mars is a well-acted, quirky little show that unfortunately due to its very Californian sensibilities doesn't translate well across the nation's cultural spectrum.

I am not sure how this show has a lower meta-score than Grey's Anatomy Season 1. GA is a good show but was nowhere near the quality of Veronica Mars Season 1. Excellent cast and the plot is very tightly woven throughout. The shocking revelations as the season progresses help to keep the interest level high. I would highly recommend this DVD to anyone who enjoys mystery, tight scripts, interesting characters, quick wit, and excellent acting in their television dramas.

Veronica Mars is just the best show on tv at the moment. It's truly captivating and the acting is superb. It is a dramatic show, but it can also be so much more fun than many sitcoms. The big mysteries in season 1 were really great and unraveled in a satisfying way. It's a shame that not more people are watching this.

Quite possibly the best show on TV today. The show's first season showed us how fantastic Kristen Bell is and created a character that's almost impossible not to fall in love with. I was a little skeptical that they wouldn't be able to carry the momentum from the Lily Kane mystery into another season but five episodes in, I'm more obsessed than ever.

I appreciate this show so much and I'm glad that they were actually able to get it in the beginning of the second season airing. This is because they wanted the show on DVD, but they were never sure if they were gonna, so they still got it out there. However, there is a lack of features, but how were they supposed to know? At least there's unaired scenes! I was blown away when I started watching in the middle of the first season. I love the packaging too because it's thinner than most box sets.

The best new show of season 2004/2005. Forget Lost and Desperate Housewives. Veronica Mars is the thing. It's quirky, funny, thrilling and dramatic. The characters are great, the plots are original and interesting and the overall mystery is phenomenal.

I agree with the statment put forward by both Kevin Smith and Joss Whedon - Veronica Mars has the best script found on television. One of the greatest structured shows I have ever seen, despite the second season so far paling in comparison.

sam d, are you kidding me? joss whedon HIMSELF gave this series the highest mark possible (and he's guest starring later this season). this is one of the best shows on television since the likes of buffy and requires weekly tivo-ing. i watch each episode at least twice, and thus, the dvd of season 1 is a must-have.

It would seem that our friend Sam D suffers from Ouranophobia, Ideophobia and Geliophobia (only relevent ones I could think of). I just hope he/she is not hippopotomonstrosesquippedaliophobic. I say this because veronica mars is simply a breath of fresh air. It's wickedly clever and offers enough humour to destory 80% of american "comedy" sitcoms. One of the reasons it works so well is Kristen Bell. perhaps THE defintive must-watch actress in recent times? charismatic, charming, humourous and not to mention beautiful - she demands your attention. The supporting cast work wonderfully too. Veronica's dad (Enrico Colantoni) and Logan Echoll's (Jason Dohring) one of neptune high's rich kids are both energetic, witty and supply great chemistry. So, Just who did kill Lilly Kane? The mystery will keep you aching to the end. HIGH FIVE Rob Thomas. He deserves it. Also, Joss Whedon knows deep down that this as good as it gets. So would the buffy fans quit the hating? Thanks
