Batch gave it a10: This is the best game ever I cant wait 2 get ome from work just to play on its excellence.
Cameron S. gave it a10: This game is absolutely phenomenal. I was expecting quality, but not THIS MUCH qualtiy! The controls leave hardly anything to desire, and only the shoddy commentary stops this being as near perfect as a football game can be. Anyone who still plays FIFA has obviously never spent any time in this games company. Gaming Nirvana, only surpassed for quality by Halo 2 and possibly the uppcoming Forza motorsport and Pariah.
Stu S. gave it a10: Most realistic football game.
Daan gave it a10: Great!!!!
Omor A. gave it a10: This game is without a doubt the best football simulator out. I dont care if FIFA 2005 has the liscenses or the good commentary, Its all about the gameplay. The superb feel to the game and depth of it gives you that feeling of satisfaction that stays with you after the game that tempts you to another.
Michael D. gave it a9: The only thing wrong with this game is poor commentary and some unlicensed teams. Master league adds so much depth. I know it's not perfect online but if you've got friends with good connections it's fine. Great game, can't wait for pes5!
Frans E. gave it a10: This game rules.
Rob gave it a5: I've been hanging out for Pro Evo 4 on XBOX since it was first announced. I've got the PS2 version and was very, very disappointed with the slowdown often experienced. The XBOX version, while playing smooth as butter looks like rubbish. Things are extremely fuzzy, even with the best TV/AV/video equipment....a huge waste of what could have been awesome. I'm selling it and sticking with the PS2 version - at least it dosen't give me eye-strain head-aches! If you don't have a PS2 it's still worth your time, it still plays like Pro Evo...
Doug M. gave it a 9: After playing fifa for the past year and eagerly awaiting Pro Evo 4, I can say its been worth the wait. The only thing would say though is you have to stick with it and it just gets more and more enjoyable.
Kenaldo gave it a 7: I love PES, had all the versions on PS2 etc - this should have been the one to top them all. Note should. Gameplay is the same as the PS2 version (excellent), the graphics are fine (same as the PS2 in fact). There's only 2 problems with the game - the problem is they're quite important... 1. xbox live play can get very, very (VERY) laggy. It stinks of bad coding (or a first attempt at network code). Halo2 manages 16 players - PES4 only has to manage 2! It can easily get completely unplayable. 2. The xbox controller. Its great for driving & FPS games, but PES4 still uses the d-pad for movement, which is awfully inconvenient to use for long periods on the xbox controller. Also, PES relieves heavily on the 4 shoulder buttons on the PS2 controller. The xbox triggers are awkward for this - you tend to keep them pressed a lot of the time - and the L2/R2 buttons are mapped to white/black - which are also very awkwardly placed. A lot of the 'pes-magic' is in the fine control you have, but it feels clumbsy on the xbox - wholly because of the controller. So, still a great game (best footie game easily), but not the best implementation then...
Blue Falcon gave it a 9: It doesn't look quite as good in motion as fifa this year, but the quality gameplay is definately here. The number of unique situations during play is impressive. Most players and teams are licenced, but still not all of them. The interface is a little ugly, but really I'm nitpicking. It's a great game.
Neil L. gave it a 10: OMG u got to have it way better then fifa like always new stuff added hope you like it :D
[Anonymous] gave it a 9: Better than FIFA 2005.
James L. gave it a 3: I do not like it. The Graphics are - compared to other xbox games - very, very bad. The commentary is very bad as well (repetition en masse that gets on your nerves - even FIFA 98 had better voiceovers) and it is very hard to get used to the controls. This game is only for diehard fans of _football-simulation_ (whereas simulation has got nothing to do with fun or action). I personally will happily stick with FIFA as it is much easier to pick up - and that is what it's all about when 3 buddies come by to play some xbox with you.
Daz gave it a 10: I have waited so long for this game on the xbox and now i've played it i'm not disappointed. As far as i'm concerned it looks and plays just like the pro evolution 2 on the PS2 AND THAT IS NO BAD THING. When i sold my PS2 there was only one game i missed - PES2. On the xbox i tried fifa - what a load of rubbish. Pro evo 2 (or 4) is played like you would play footie on a pitch yourself with build up play needed before you try to break through the defence (with perhaps a through ball) The master league is as good as i remember it and will no doubt take up hours of my time. The referee visible on the pitch is nice and wasn't in PES2. I guess to sum up if you're played PES 1, 2, or 3 before you won't need to read this - you'll know how good it is. If you've been stuck with fifa on the xbox then your footie games are about to get a whole lot better. Highly recommended. p.s. i couldn't try the game on live because i don't have it yet.
