Bigmacwithfries gave it a 9: First of all, the graphics are insane!!!! great lightning effects. This is a great game, has plenty of customization, and is well worth the money. But I agree in some points with "Matt R." It becomes very frustrating sometimes when the computer characters unleash unstoplable combos one after another, and you can't do anything but contemplate with your hands tied, how they wipe the whole arena whith your poor humanity like a bag of potatoes. The controls are somehow flawed and imprecise. You can be standing with a bottle at your feet which you're suppose to be able to pick up, press the button which is supposed to be used for pick it up, and regardless not only the character doesn't pick up the damn bottle, but he tries instead to unssucessfuly grab the oponent, leaving you completly defenseless at his mercy, and redy to take another cruel medieval beating. Not fair. But hey, what's cooler on earth than having dany trejo himself in a videogame, with real tattoos, voice and everything, not laving aside Snoop dog, Xzibit, Method man, ludacris, and a lot of kick as characters more!!!!

K James gave it a 9: Well this is a must have game the story mode is intense and a lot of fun. Theres five fighting styles to choice from which you can mix upto three of if u want. The create a player is awesome and theres shops where you can buy clothes, jewelry or you can buy tatts or a new hairstyle which makes for a personal touch but The thing about def jam is the fighting. The AI is pretty tough but once you get to know the moves it's alot of fun. Also the graphics are very slick and easy to look at, plus the cutscenes are very kool. It will take you alot of hours to complete the game and once you do finish it there is bonus fights and also other modes to enjoy enjoy this brutal game. And yes it has blood which is a must in a fighting game...I love it and im sure you will to...smooth.

Matt R. gave it a 3: This game is a blast for a couple of days, then you realize how incredibly CHEAP the gameplay is. There are basically no moves (the blazin moves don't count, cuz you can only do them in very specific situations). If you like having computer characters unleash 34 hit combos while you can't block or counter, then get this overrated piece of crap!
Wongit gave it a 9: This game is wonderful. Violent and very entertaining. this is the kind of game that makes you cringe after a move has been executed. Create a character is extremely goood. it makes WWE Smackdown's CAW a laugh. for once your CAW is involved with cinemas and they can actually talk which is truly marvelous. Great Game. The only problem is that the AI can be a real pain in the butt sometimes, but you keep on practicing, and you will get better.
