An absolutley amazing game, but I'm not going to bother trying to put the beauty of Shenmue into words. Just buy it and you'll love it and it will stay with you for the rest of your life.

I just wish they would re-release this game on the 360 with Shenmue II and then finish the series with the Shenmue III. I just wish more people gave this game the shot that it deserves

Jason T. gave it a 10: By far one of THE most immersive games of all time... The environment, plot, character relationships, everything, just sucked me right into this game's world with a deathgrip. I couldn't get enough of that that is Shenmue.

It's a new game style that let's you do what ever you want, even if you want to play games at the arcade or win prizes at the good ol' Tomato Mart. There is no other game better....wait there is. It's Shenmue II. Hehehe.

Asd gave it a 5: This game isn't that great. WAAAY over hyped. First there are only about maybe 6 fights until the 3rd disk (which is 10hours later) half of that time is spent in the arcade. This game is very boring. I would say Try before you buy but since the only place you can get it now is Ebay it's a gamble.

You can if you want to just walk in dobuita talking to people, call people, shoop, play games, spy on people, knock on doors, training your fighting abilities, just hang around, listen to music, by music, by scrolls, look at antiques, visit your friends or something else. Home you can train, fight with Fuku-san, call people and more. I think you know what to do in the harbour.
