I agree with Boston Globe.

A brilliant book I simply couldn't put away. Beautifully written in a complex yet simplifying way.

Very personal and special.

My ultimate source of inspiration, this book saved my life.

As memorable and perplexing as his lyrics.

Emily W gave it a9:
So it isn't really about his life, but it's witty and interesting in its own right.

Ursula P gave it a10:
It is so rich that I read it several times and each time I discovered something new. It's like good perfume:there is more than one precious moment in it, one must wait for each layer to develop to enjoy all of them.

Ron A gave it a10:
Astounding! Only Dylan can turn some of these phrases. When he rented his first apartment in NYC "it came empty." Not unfurnished! It came empty!

One of the best books i've read in a long time, when i first heard about it I thought wasn't going to be any good for some reason. I thought it would be too long and trail off but boy was I wrong in every way, it's a great short read, even non Dylan fans would be blown away by this book, I can't wait for the others.

G Polk gave it a10:
Dylan wont be revealing any skeletons or secrets anytime soon, this book is about ruminations and searching, as most of his art has come to be known for. It is a hitchhikers guide to the road, a road that is adorned with images which only poets and great men could have created.

Ed J gave it a9:
A fascinating read. I've been a Dylan fan for many years and have always wondered about the man behind the music. Here is a glimpse into his influences, his craft, his philosophy, and of course his first love - songwriting.
