The Daily Show With Jon Stewart Presents America (The Book) by Jon Stewart And The Writers Of The Daily Show
The average user rating for this Book is 8.3 out of 10 (based on 22 Votes).
Michael R gave it a10: Absolutely hilarious! Every page of this book is laugh out loud funny. Maybe the funniest book I have ever read and it certainly was worth every penny.
Mike G. gave it a10: This book is laugh out loud, ridiculously funny. The juxtaposition of modern, idiomatic language and historical figures (real or imagined) is a winner.
Joyce T gave it a9: I received it as a gift, and it is very funny. I particularly liked the discussion questions and classroom activities.
Chris H gave it a10: This book is severely underrated. There are jokes everywhere; it is easy to overlook the jokes in the index and in the liner notes, etc... Granted, some are immature, but that merely takes advantage of the ironic appearance of lewd jokes in a history textbook. Besides, there is more than enough satirical but insightful truth in the book to satisfy any appreciative reader.
Elizabeth P gave it a4: Disappointing. I love the "Daily Show" and Jon Stewart but the book didn't live up to the hype. There are 3 or 4 funny pages the rest of the humor is lame and forced. A ho-hum book is not worth the $20. If you don't read this book, you'll still retain some respect for Jon Stewart. You're not missing much!!!!!!!!!
Eric K gave it a10: Very insightful, very funny
David F gave it a3: I love the Daily Show, hated the book. It was a gift, I would not have bought it if I flipped through it in a bookstore: it does not get any better/worse after the first 5 minutes. Nobody in my house stayed with it.
joe m gave it a7: wise crack after wise crack repeating the same types of jokes over and over again but i lovwed the many vivrent and kneebraking visuals of the currups shades of what we call the goverment of the countries around the world and the many interluges of timid people from canada who want to sell a canadian book It was a good read. not worth that amount of money i had to charge, but i am a cheapskate i rented it from the library!!!
Zach L gave it a10: This is the funniest book I have ever read, granted I'm only 16, but that's still pretty good. If you don't think this is funny, you need to lighten up a bit.
Joseph C. gave it a10: The best of the best Abraham Lincoln style
Lanni P gave it a7: Consists mostly of a few little chuckles here and there, but there are a few effing hilarious little jokes embedded in the mock discussions and activites. Overall: worthwhile. Not quite as witty as Dave Barry but fun nonetheless.
Colay gave it a10: This book was great! It had my laughing out loud during some parts. This gives me even more respect to Jon Stewart right after he called Tucker Carlson a dick.
Owen L. gave it a9: A treasure trove. you have to really pay attention to get all the little jokes and one-liners in here and it pays off if you do. this book is hilarious and quite well-written.
Ryan M. gave it a10: The best book of the year.
Jim M gave it a10: An entertaining read by an astute political satirist.
Laurie G gave it a4: If I didn't know better I would think this was written by 'The Onion' staffers; the titles are moderately funny - and the text is overkill. I expected better...
